On April 10, CAS Hefei Gasification Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ZHGAS) achieved another breakthrough in talent acquisition, with Researcher Bao Shaolin, a nationally recognized boiler expert, officially joining as a Technical Support Specialist. His addition will accelerate ZHGAS’s development in biomass and solid waste treatment sectors.
Researcher Bao Shaolin graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Thermal Energy Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1986 and earned a Master of Engineering in Engineering Thermophysics from the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1989, subsequently continuing his research career at the institute. With over 30 years of expertise in Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) boiler R&D, he has collaborated with leading manufacturers such as Shanghai Boiler Works Co., Ltd., Wuxi Huaguang Boiler Co., Ltd., and Jinan Boiler Group Co., Ltd. to develop CFB boiler series including 75t/h, 130t/h, 220t/h, 440t/h, and 480t/h models. His experience spans research, field operations, and design. In recent years, aligning with national energy conservation goals, his focus has expanded to CFB biomass direct combustion, residual carbon utilization from gasification, and other advanced combustion technologies.
At the welcome ceremony, Yu Kuangshi, General Manager of ZHGAS, stated:
"Researcher Bao has pioneered transformative contributions to China’s coal combustion field, with his innovations widely adopted in industry. His expertise will serve as an 'anchor and cornerstone' for ZHGAS’s expansion in carbon-based solid waste treatment and biomass utilization, propelling us toward national leadership in these domains."
ZHGAS will leverage Bao’s scientific and practical acumen to accelerate project deployment while strengthening talent retention mechanisms to maximize expert leadership.
Researcher Bao affirmed:
"As a Technical Support Specialist, I will advance ZHGAS’s capabilities in product R&D, technical breakthroughs, engineering design, and project operations. I look forward to industrializing research achievements through our collaboration."
